Office Policies
Evening & Sick appointments:
Our hours are by appointment only. We are open 4 nights per week until 7p.m. to accommodate our patients. A limited number of acute appointments are available same day.
Cancellations:
If you must cancel an appointment, 24 hours notice is requested. Six hours notice is required in order to avoid a $35 missed appointment fee.
Refills:
Please bring your current medications with you to each appointment so that we may provide any refills necessary at that time. We are proud to offer electronic prescription transmission to most local pharmacies and some mail away pharmacy programs.
Referrals:
Referrals made by our office are available within 48 hours.
Copays:
Copayments are due at the time of service. Copay amounts are usually printed on your insurance card. Our office accepts mastercard and visa for your convenience.
Hospital Admissions:
Our practice is office-based and our time is therefore demanded in the office. Admissions are directed to the hospitalists (physicians who specialize in hospital medicine) at Shore Memorial Hospital and Atlantic City Medical Center. We are in communication with these physicians to insure the best quality of care for you from admission to follow-up in our office.
After-hours Emergencies:
Phone calls will be taken by our answering service. Physicians are available 24 hours per day for emergency situations.
Insurance:
Our practice accepts most insurance plans including the following:
- Aetna Managed Care
- Amerihealth
- Healthnet
- Horizon (all plans except Horizon Mercy)
- Medicare
- Atlanticare
- Cigna
- Local 54
If you do not see your plan listed above, please inquire at the front desk. If you will be changing insurances, please ask us for a recommendation.
Payment plans are available for our uninsured patients.
For your convenience, Our office accepts mastercard and visa.
